Habitat for Humanity of Ulster County

Donna Verteramo is the Development Manager and Volunteer Coordinator at Ulster County Habitat for Humanity, where she leads fundraising, donor cultivation, grant writing, community partnerships, and marketing for the organization's mission to build homes, communities, and hope across Ulster County. With a career spanning 30 years in the not-for-profit sector in the Hudson Valley and a stint of freelancing writing during the pandemic, Donna has built a reputation for strategic storytelling, event management, and relationship-building in the Hudson Valley. Her background includes nearly three decades managing operations at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie and UPAC in Kingston, where she led an annual Gala fundraiser generating $250K+ in sponsorships, as well as working in Community Relations for Ulster BOCES and a year as Sentator Michelle Hinchey's District Director. Fun fact, in 1994 she was part of a team representing Rotary District 7210 with a young professional exchange with Brazil. She lives in Rosendale with her husband, Chris and in her free time she enjoys gardening and sending snail mail to pen pals around the world.
